The Housing Solution Summit is a team effort. Each of our diverse partners is contributing in different ways.

United Way is engaged in nearly 1,800 communities across more than 40 countries and territories worldwide. We are focused on creating community-based and community-led solutions that strengthen the cornerstones for a good quality of life: education, financial stability and health.

As part of our commitment to racial equity, United Way Worldwide supports the Housing Solution Summit to further these goals and to provide opportunities for community leaders to reduce disparities that have been exacerbated by the pandemic as well as mobilize community partners around a comprehensive approach to housing.

 

NAR's membership is composed of residential and commercial brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors, and others engaged in the real estate industry.

Members belong to one or more of approximately 1,200 local associations/boards and 54 state and territory associations of REALTORS®.

 
 

Co-founded by AARP Foundation and ProMedica in 2015, The Root Cause Coalition is a nonprofit, member-driven organization comprised of more than 70 leading health systems, hospital associations, foundations, businesses, national and community nonprofits, health insurers, academic institutions, and policy centers. Our common goal is to achieve health equity for every American.

 
 

Population Health Learning Collaborative (PopHLC) is a network of consultants, associations, academics, technology vendors, non-profit organizations, public health professionals, healthcare providers, and related organizations working together to improve the health of our communities.

The PopHLC produced two virtual summits on the housing crisis in 2020

Community Initiatives is a network of curious and committed souls, advancing communities marked by a sense of belonging, stewardship, and willingness to act for the common good.

Our team offers a unique blend of strategy, design, data/technology, and process expertise on a wide range of community issues. Building community—a sense of belonging and the capacity to shape and be adaptive in the future—is at the heart of all of our work.

Stakeholder Health is a loosely organized learning collaborative of more than 50 health systems and other invested institutions advancing the profound changes needed for just, equitable, and effective healthcare by joining partners at scale. We are defined by our most mature faith and relevant science. We:

  • Convene partners at scale to maximize shared learning and impact

  • Apply the lens of our most mature faith, relevant science, and a fundamental commitment to anti-racism to everything we do

  • Help each other learn, in real-time, what matters most in the achievement of health equity, always in partnership with the community

  • Share our insights through expansive conversations, published writings, and platforms such as podcasts and webinars

Led by clinical, community, and policy innovators, Well Being Trust brings an ecosystem approach to prevention, treatment, and recovery for mental health and substance misuse issues, while prioritizing an upstream focus on resilience and well-being in communities.

 

Communities Joined in Action (CJA) is a private, non-profit membership organization of nearly 150 community health collaboratives – each of our members being committed to improving health, improving access, and eliminating disparities in their communities. Our mission is to connect and equip communities with tools to improve health equity and well-being. CJA supports our members by facilitating the rapid dissemination of innovations across communities. We provide access to technical resources, peer-mentors from model communities, best practices, as well as host conferences and facilitate local networking opportunities.

 

Healthcare Action Network exists to incubate and scale strategies that establish the anchor mission as a healthcare sector priority and to lead innovation in anchor mission implementation, both internally and in partnership with the community. We aim to define the healthcare leadership standard and promote industry collaboration for proactively addressing economic and racial inequities in community conditions that create poor health (or what is sometimes referred to as structural determinants of health).

The long-term goal is to reach a critical mass of health systems adopting as an institutional priority to improve community health and well-being by leveraging all their assets, including hiring, purchasing, and investment for equitable, local economic impact. 

 

The mission of NAACP DC Branch is to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons.

 

THE SHIFT recognizes housing as a human right, not a commodity or an extractive industry. The Shift restores the understanding of housing as home, challenging the ways financial actors undermine the right to housing. Using a human rights framework, The Shift provokes action to end homelessness, unaffordability, and evictions globally.

 

NAREB Twin Cities is the local chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB). NAREB was founded in 1947, as an equal opportunity and civil rights advocacy organization for African American Real Estate Professionals, Consumers, and Communities. NAREB has fought to ensure that African-Americans and other minorities received fair treatment in all real estate transactions.

NAREB is the oldest minority trade association and its members are known as ‘Realtist’ and focus on promoting the highest standards of professional integrity. NAREB's holds a vision of creating "Democracy In Housing"
